Three Railway Crossings to Shut ; Multiple Road Closures Announced in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: As part of ongoing track maintenance undertaken by Western Railway, three major railway crossings in the city will remain closed on consecutive days, causing temporary traffic diversions for motorists.
Railway Gate Closures (8 am to 6 pm)
Gandhigram railway gate: November 16
Sarkhej–Makarba crossing: November 17
Sarkhej–Anandnagar crossing: November 18
Authorities have advised motorists to use alternative routes available on both sides of these gates during the closure period.
Additional Road Closures
1. Ambli Gam Char Rasta to Bopal Vakil Saheb Bridge (One-way)
Due to the installation of a mechanical crane for construction work by a private company, this one-way stretch will be closed from 11 pm to 7 am on November 15, 16 and 17.
2. Sindhubhavan Road – Walkathon Event
The Indian Red Cross Society will hold a walk under its Waves of Kindness – A Movement for Humanity initiative on November 16.
The one-way road from Bajrang Char Rasta to Gotila Garden on Sindhubhavan Road will remain closed from 2 pm for motorists.
3. East Ahmedabad – Rally for Sardar Samman Yatra
A rally organised as part of the Sardar Samman Yatra celebrations will lead to extended traffic restrictions in Viratnagar and surrounding areas on November 16.
Roads closed from 8 am to 2 pm include:
Viratnagar to Ring Road
Thakkarnagar Bridge to Nikol Khodiyar Mata Temple
Manmohan Char Rasta to Viratnagar
The city traffic department has urged commuters to plan their routes in advance and follow diversion signs to avoid inconvenience.
