Bullet Train Work: Jetalpur Railway Overbridge in Vadodara Shut for Traffic
November 20, 2025
Vadodara: As part of the ongoing civil work for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project, the Jetalpur (Swami Vivekananda) Railway Overbridge, a key artery of Vadodara city, has been closed for around two weeks. Girder launching work is being carried out on the bridge, prompting authorities to restrict all vehicular movement on the bridge and the railway underpass below it until November 29, 2025.
The Vadodara traffic department had issued prior instructions for motorists to take alternative routes, but some commuters were reportedly caught unaware today, causing minor inconvenience.
Restricted Route:
Vehicles will not be allowed to travel from Chakli Circle to Vallabh Chowk Circle via Jetalpur Bridge and the Surya Palace Crossroads towards Bhimnath Naka. The railway underpass below the bridge will also remain closed.
Alternate Route:
Motorists are advised to use the Alkapuri Railway Garnala Underpass and the Akota-Dandia Bazar Bridge to reach their destinations. DeshGujarat
