November 22, 2025
Junagadh: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed Sandeepbhai Rambhai Rawliya, 39, an outsourced driver employed in the MT department of Junagadh Police, in a ₹2 lakh bribe case.
According to the complaint, the complainant’s brother, a CRPF havaldar, had a case registered against him at Girgadhda Police Station in Gir Somnath district in September 2025 under the SC-ST Act and for sexual assault. During the investigation, the accused allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 3.5 lakh from the complainant to influence the FSL report in favor of the complainant. After negotiations, the demanded amount was reduced to Rs 2 lakh.
Unwilling to pay the bribe, the complainant approached the Junagadh ACB. During the trap operation, the accused was caught red-handed accepting the bribe while engaging in a deliberate conversation with the complainant. The entire act was recorded, and the bribe amount was recovered on the spot. DeshGujarat
