Motorist hospitalized after kite string slashes throat in Surat

Surat: A 45-year-old man sustained severe throat injuries after a kite string became entangled around his neck while he was riding a scooter on the Udhna Darwaja Flyover Bridge on Sunday evening.

The injured has been identified as Pashupati Narmada Singh, a resident of Bhakti Dharma Society in Adajan. Singh, who works in a private company and is the sole breadwinner for his family, was travelling from Ankleshwar to Surat when the incident occurred.

Pashupati was riding across the Udhna Darwaja Flyover Bridge when a sharp kite string suddenly got caught in his neck, slicing his throat. Startled passers-by rushed to help and immediately shifted him to Civil Hospital in a bleeding condition. He is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. DeshGujarat
