ACB Gujarat seizes ₹88 lakh gold & silver from Class-2 engineer’s locker

Mehsana: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Mehsana has conducted a search on the locker of Dilipkumar Ratilal Patel, Deputy Executive Engineer, Class-2, Road and Building Department, Sub-Division Visnagar, in connection with a corruption case.
According to the ACB, Patel allegedly earned ₹37,05,517 between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, which is 16% more than his legal income from lawful sources during the same period. Following this, a case was registered at the Mehsana ACB Post Office on November 13, 2025, under Sections 13(1)(e), 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and Section 13(1)(b) of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018.
During the investigation, on November 26, 2025, the ACB Field Unit Gandhinagar searched a locker at the Mehsana Urban Co-operative Bank Limited, Mehsana branch, held jointly in the name of Patel and his wife. The search resulted in the recovery of 762.29 grams of gold ornaments and 752 grams of silver ornaments, with a total value of ₹88,72,380. DeshGujarat
