Gujarat govt revises paid forensic document examination fees

Ahmedabad: The state government has revised the fee structure for paid document examination cases handled by the Handwriting and Photography Division of the Directorate of Forensic Science (DFS), operating under the Home Department. According to the new notification, the prescribed fees have been increased by 10%, and the revised rates came into effect on November 3, 2025.

The Home Department circular states that the government has mandated a 10% annual increase in these charges. The updated fee structure is as follows:

The circular specifies that these revised rates will apply to samples submitted not only by departments other than the Home Department within the state government but also by other state governments, Union Government agencies, and semi-government organisations.
