Rajkot Police Seize 123 Spools of Banned Chinese Kite String; One Held

Rajkot: Police in Rajkot have intensified their crackdown on the illegal sale of banned Chinese kite string, commonly known as Chinese dori, ahead of the Uttarayan festival. The action follows indications that the sale of the prohibited thread had resumed in the city.
During the operation, police seized Chinese kite thread from multiple locations, including Mochi Bazaar and Sadar Bazaar. A total of 123 spools were confiscated from the Shiv Shakti Season Store in Sadar Bazaar, while additional spools were recovered from a residential house in Mochi Bazaar.
Cases have been registered against two traders in connection with the illegal sale. Police have also arrested one person during the seizure of the 123 spools. An investigation is underway, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused traders. DeshGujarat
