Surat RTO car driving test track shut for repairs

Surat: After the two-wheeler driving test track was closed for three to four days last week, the car driving test track at Surat RTO has now been closed for repair work.

Officials said the existing car track had not been maintained for a long time, and its sensors and other systems frequently malfunction. Repair work is being carried out ahead of the launch of the new AI-enabled driving test track. Necessary improvements include fixing wiring and sound systems, repairing the slope on the climbing test, and erecting poles for CCTV installation.

The car driving test track is expected to reopen by Wednesday, December 3, or Thursday at the latest. Meanwhile, applicants with pre-scheduled driving tests have had their appointments shifted to next week. Notifications regarding the closure have been sent to all affected applicants via messages.

Last week, the two-wheeler driving test track was closed for four to five days. With the car track now temporarily unavailable as well, applicants are facing difficulties. Authorities have assured that once the repairs and AI track setup are completed, driving tests will resume smoothly. DeshGujarat
