Navsari: A suspected religious conversion attempt in Limzhar village of Vansda taluka has triggered tension in the area, after members of the tribal community were allegedly being persuaded to change their faith to Christianity. The incident, which took place in the Adimjuth Faliya locality, led to an uproar as local Hindu organisations rushed to the spot and halted the activity.
According to local Hindus, attempts were being made to influence tribal residents through inducements or by misleading them, a move they say will not be tolerated. Following reports of the incident, police reached the location, brought the situation under control and have launched further investigation. Hindu organisations have also demanded legal action against those involved in the alleged religious conversion efforts. DeshGujarat
