Lion attack leaves 27-year-old injured in Amreli

Rajkot: A 27-year-old farm worker was injured in a lion attack while working in an agricultural field near Vithalpur village in Amreli on Sunday morning.
The victim, Karam Nayak, a native of Madhya Pradesh, was carrying out farm work along with his family members when the incident took place around 10.30 am. According to police and forest department officials, the lion suddenly appeared in the field and attacked Nayak, triggering panic among those present.
Officials said the animal fled after injuring Nayak in the waist. A forest department team later reached the site, carried out a preliminary assessment, and cautioned residents of nearby villages to remain alert. Nayak was admitted to Shantaba General Hospital in Amreli and is reported to be in stable condition. DeshGujarat
