Remember how Sunil Bharti Mittal, Ratan Tata and Anil Ambani described Modi as “prime minister material” early this year?
Now Birla has joined this chorus.
“Narendra Modi should become the prime minister of India,” B K Birla, Chairman of Century Textiles and Industries Limited said today at the inauguration of a new textile mill at Jhaghadia near Bharuch in central Gujarat.
A visibly pleased Modi responded, saying “Khabarwalo ko khabar mil gaye hai (newspersons have got the news). This will be the headline in tomorrow’s newspapers.”
Modi thanked S K Birla and Kumar Mangalam Birla for completing the work on the textile mill just in two years after the memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed for it at the 2007 Vibrant Gujarat Investors summit.
