Salangpur-Style Kashtabhanjan Dev Temple to Be Built in Kansas, USA

Ahmedabad: Devotees of Kashtabhanjan Dev Hanuman Ji of Salangpur Dham living in the United States of America will no longer have to travel to India to have darshan of their deity, as a Shri Kashtabhanjan Dev temple, modeled on Salangpur Dham, will be built on 40 bighas of land in Kansas City. A 108-foot-tall Panchadhatu statue of the ‘King of Salangpur’ will be installed there before the construction of the temple begins.

Following the announcement of the grand resolution during the Shri Kashtabhanjan Dev Charitra Katha, held for the first time in Kansas, donations in dollars have started pouring in.

For the temple project, Indian artisans will be taken to America, and an idol similar to the one in Salangpur will be crafted. Three types of aarti, puja-path and religious rituals will be conducted at the temple. A Bhojanshala capable of serving prasad to 1 lakh people, a 1,300-room hotel, and facilities similar to the ‘White House’ of Salangpur will also be developed.

Hariprakash Swamiji, chairman of Shri Kashtabhanjan Dev Mandir, visited Kansas and approved the location and design of the temple. According to the organizers, the temple is expected to be completed by 2029.

Dev Bharwad, president of the Gujarati Samaj, said that the temple will become a major religious center for 2.2 million Gujaratis living in America.
