Before the first test match of India-Srilanka series, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Minister of state for Home Shri Amit Shah honored Indian cricket star Sachin Tendulkar for completing 20 years in International cricket. On behalf of the Government of Gujarat and Gujarat Cricket Association, Chief Minister Modi and Amit Shah presented Sachin a Gold plated memento of Somnath Mahadev mandir. Gujarat Chief Minister Modi is President and Gujarat Minister of state for Home Shri Amit Shah is Vice President of Gujarat Cricket Association.
Before the start of the first test against Sri Lanka, Sachin said:”Behind me there is the team, coach, players and family and the people pf India. I don’t need any external forces to motivate me. I value their support. But it is time to move on and concentrate at the job at hand.”
“I thank the fans and all the people who have supported me throughout my career but I have started my preparation from yesterday. I hate losing and every time I go out to play for India I want to give my 100 per cent and contribute for the team. I need to concentrate before going for every match,” he said.
“Sri Lanka are a good side and we can’t be found off guard against a quality side. We want to win and each one of us has to give our best,” he said.
“The team morale is high and we are ready for the series,” he added.

exactly….this news will be missed as it will give popularity to Modi. But even if some one says modi abused Ehsaan Jaffri on phone it will be telecast whole day on NDTv…a stupid piece of news which cannot be verified as jaffri is dead.
Its like some ‘Mr x’ saying ‘Mr y’ said something to ‘Mr z’ on the phone….what stupid news is this? anyways NDTV has no credibility!! this channel is doomed and i have sold all my shares of this channel yesterday.
These media is courrrept and they have no intrest in anything good. They only want to show bad image of India. For me I do mot watch NDTV, Times Now, CNN, IBN and Headline news.. For me these channels do not exist… Indian people should wake up and see what courrepts them….Most these cahnnels are controlled by anti national forces…Think Indians Think…

why would modi give a photo of somnath temple to sachin? on his felicitation? isnt that strange? and its written jay somnath on it…i am confused…how does cricket…sachin…and somnath coincide?
Rajeshbhai: Somnath is Gujarat’s crown eventhough it’s location is not on the top. Somanath temple was destroyed many time in history and it was always saved or resurected by real Gujarati bharatiya. Somanath is the symbol that our spirit cannot be destroyed eventhough physically we might fall or stumble. You know in my opinion indirectly it represents national players who might not win always but the team spirit of playing for their country is always alive and eternal. This is the Indian spirit that keeps Mr. Modi working for people tirelessly in the middle of obstacles. Just the Somanath temple shines on the west coast may God keep more and more national heros signing in Bharat in every field. Jay Somanath..Jay Gujarat Jay Bharat.
I am not sure if you are inspired by CNN-IBN, NDTV, TOI, Times Now etc…etc…. Why are you trying to find concurrence between cricket/sachin and somnath.
Gujarat has lots of known places and it is known for so many things, Somnath temple is one of them.
The function was organized by GCA and it represented a momento to Sachin.
Somnath temple reminds me of Gujarat. I am not sure but such momento was represented to Mr. Ratan Tata as well in the past, when Neno project came to Gujarat.
There is nothing strange or confusing….

Come on Guys, Do you think Sachin deserves this long too be in team, test your memory and tell that how many wining games he played and how many of his games helped India to the path of victory.
We tax payer can’t even buy small thing without paying taxes and Sachin got free Farari landed in India.

I am happy media didn’t take any notes from this “so called celebration” from Namo and Sachin.
Media should find out reasoning about why Namo is not elected as BJP president, and one think to keep in mind Namo magic works only in Gujarat because Gujarat’s love towards BJP.

Mr.Rajiv for your kind information just because of Sachin innings in the 1999 Workd Cup Inida could reach into the final by defiting Pakistan & South Afrika with a high Score.Further The Legend Of Cricket Sir Donald Bradman also gave the statement that his batting style reflects in Sachins batting.Sir Vivian Richards said that Sachin deserves the honourable tag SIR for his consistance performance for Indian Cricket Team. And many of the cricket legend including Sunil Gavasker, Kapil Dev, K.Srikanth and many more have given histerous statemnts for this Sachin Tendulkar. Now the former Cricketrs whoever passed such statement for Sachin are more experienced then you, me n the public at large. So I dont think your statement is worth to be discussed anywhere.
If its like that then tell me the name of some well know Journalist who gave a good comment for you and your work & Performance.
And he is the cricketer and knows himself that when he need to retire we people have no right to order him to have a retirement from Cricket. And for his latest match winning performance you can check out the series against australia which took place recently you will get the right figure of his performance.

He played a horrible shot and he got out and India loose the match. My point is just see in 20 years how many match winning games he played..Not his individual machine to keep all world records on his name. If you are satisfied with 4-2 AUS vs INS, then you should start looking those funny leagues where they make maoney and you get satisfaction.
If you are watching American Football, you will see how big responsibility Quarterback has.
So PLEASE stop showing your blind love for Sachin and see the reality.
