Leader of opposition Shaktisinh Gohil today said that he had sought a video of his speech that he delivered in Chalo Gujarat function in America, and he has today received a courier containing Video CD of his speech. Gohil said he stands by what he said in America and he would upload his speech on Youtube soon. Gohil said his speech was appreciated in America.

“I had not asked for my speech video, because I am not publicity crazy like Modi. But due to the issue related to it, I asked for the video and today I have received a courier of my speech. I will upload it on Youtube. You should see.:

“I had certainly said it and it was appreciated. Why we welcome Ram’s rule? Because even dhobi’s concern was heard. I said that Ravan had built a golden city, but actually the golden houses were owned by Rakshashas. Common citizens were sad including Ravan’s brother Vibhishan. Similarly in Gujarat, Adani kinds of people who are favored by Modi have golden houses, but widow pension never increases. Keshubhai is sad. I wish Gujarat could be like Ram Rajya where demolition of river front slum would make Modi sad, and he would not enjoy boating when farmers were committing suicide in scarcity-hit regions of the state. I stand by my speech,” Shri Gohil said.

Gohil said Modi couldn’t defeat him in the last election even after his road show, night halt, public meeting, but the people of Bhavnagar gave verdict that they accept me and not Modi. And I challenge that Modi should fight against me in Bhavnagar in this election.

It should be mentioned here that during the Chalo Gujarat event early this month in America, Shaktisinh Gohil’s speech had faced protest after he mentioned Ravana and Lanka in reference to Gujarat’s present political situation. Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has picked up this issue and started mentioning it in his Vivekananda yatra speeches across the state raising a question that should one refer Gujarat as Gandhi, Sardar and Ravi Shankar Maharaj’s land or as Ravana’s land?
