Amit Shah vacates govt bungalow and office within a day
Gandhinagar, DeshGujarat, 26 July 2010
Former minister of state for Home Shri Amit Shah vacated his office and government bungalow just next day after his resignation.
Shah was allotted bungalow no.5 in Gujarat capital Gandhinagara’s ministerial enclave.
As per the Public Works Department(PWD) rules, a minister has to vacate a bungalow within six months of his resignation. However Shah vacated the government bungalow just one day after his resignation. Shah visited his ministerial bungalow for the last time when he was on way to produce himself before CBI in Gandhinagar.
According to government rules, a minister who resigns from his ministerial post, has to vacate his ministerial office imidiately. Shah followed this rule and vacated the office. His all government related office material has been taken over by government’s General Administration department.
In another development, Gujarat’s Home ministry, Legal ministrey and Prison ministry websites on Monday removed Amit Shah’s reference as their department’s minister. All these websites also removed Shah related information such as his message and photograph.
However Gujarat government’s official website GujaratIndia.Com was still showing Amit Shah as minister. Also another website of Gujarat government controlled Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation(GSRTC) which comes under Amit Shah’s Road and Transport ministry prior to his resignation, still shows Shah as minister of concern department.
