Shri Chandrashekhar Vijay Maharaj Saheb cremated(photos)

Panyas pravar Shri Chandrashekhar Vijayji Maharaj saheb was cremated today at around six in the evening amid presence of about 25,000 devotees in Amiyapur(Gandhiangar) based Tapovan sanskar peeth campus.

The slogans like ‘Dekho dekho kaun aya, Jin shasan ka sher aya’, ‘jay jay nanda, jay jay bhadra’ were in the air when Bardoli based Mahavirbhai performed last rites of Chandrashekharji maharaj saheb. Mahavirbhai had announced highest Rs. 5,55,55555 bid to do cremation of maharaj saheb. Mahavirbhai is from Bardoli. He is former student of Tapovan sanskar peeth, Navsari established by Chandrashekhar Vijayji maharaj. His son presently is student of Tapovan sanskar peeth, Amiyapur, Gandhinagar.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s international General Secretary Shri Pravin Togadia was present during the cremation ceremony.

Though funeral was earlier scheduled at 3.00 pm, it actually took place only at around 6.00 due to too much rush and long funeral procession that started at Ahmedabad’s Naherunagar circle based Ambawadi Jain Sangh at 9.00 am.

About 4,000 Jains and non-Jains participated in funeral procession barefooted in rain that halted only for some time. The funeral procession passed through Dharnidhar, Pankaj society, Opera, Mahalskshmi, Suvidha shopping centre, Jalaram mandir crossing, Law garden, Vadaj, Sabarmati and Motera. The procession was witnessed by lakhs of people and at various places Jain monks (in chaturmas) gave tribute to Chandrashekhar Vijayji maharaj saheb. Three bands had arrived from Mumbai to play devotional music on the route of funeral procession.

Earlier in the morning, bid for Sadharmik Bhakti was finalized at Rs 1,11,00000. A bid for Maharaj Saheb Guru Mandir was finalized at Rs. 1,80,00000. Apart from this various other bids took place in range of Rs. 11 lakh to 51 lakh in the morning. Total sum of various bids reached the figure of around Rs. 10 crore.

A Guru mandir will be built at the place of cremation inside Amiyapur Tapovan campus according to Lalitbhai Dhami, Trustee of Tapovan Sanskar peeth.
