In Surat city the Kapodara police has also filed two FIRs against PAAS supporters for trespassing in the local police station and damaging public property.
In a press conference in Ahmedabad today SPG leader Jigar Patel alleged that the PAAS leader was trying to mislead the Patel community on the reservation issue and he must not treat the pro-reservation agitation as his ‘personnel business’. He also said that the stubbornness of the PAAS leader and his ‘dominant’ attitude were detrimental to the agitation.
Earlier talking to media persons in Surat city Hardik one again alleged that the government was misusing its legal powers to suppress his agitation. He announced to keep his disputed Ekta yatra from Dandi postponed for now and organise a massive meeting in Surat in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Ramol police in Ahmedabad has filed rioting cases against 4000 people (alleged PAAS supporters) for violent demonstration and stone pelting in the locality yesterday to protest Hardik’s detention in Surat. The FIR mentioned that there were around 1000 woman in the mob.
