Two development projects of Jamnagar get HUDCO award

HUDCO has given first prize to Jamnagar Municipal Corporation(JMC)’s Ranmal lake beautification project for year 2015 in ‘Landscape planning and design’ category.
Near its completion, the Ranmal Lake ( Lakhota talav ) project has been executed at a cost of Rs 45 crore by JMC. Heritage theme area development, pedestrian zone, vehicle zone, LED lighting, parking, jogging track, battery operated car track, synthetic jogging track are some of the highlights of 50,000 sqm Ranmal lakefront project.
JMC has also received second prize in ‘Conservation of heritage’ category for Rs 2.28 crore Khambhaliya gate restoration and conservation project under which repair, restoration, lighting and development of art gallery on the first floor etc works are completed. Out of 40 projects scrutinized nationwide, Khambhaliya gate project has won second place. Must note that the first prize in this category has been given to the project for conservation of Wagh Mandir in Morbi in Gujarat.
