Why was union minister Uma Bharti in Vadodara on Saturday?
The union minister for water resources, river development and Ganga rejuvenation was in Vadodara to pay her condolences to Vadodara based Shri Babubhai Navlavala on his son’s accidental death.
Babubhai was advisor of Shri Narendra Modi on water related matters when Modi was Chief Minister of Gujarat. He is now extending his help to Uma Bharti in Ganga rejuvenation project. His role is so important in this project, that the minister visited Vadodara following his son’s death.
Babubhai’s son died in car accident this month in Vadodara city.
Uma Bharti after reaching Vadodara straight away drove to Navlalavala’s Ilora Park based residence.
In her brief talk with media Uma Bharti refused to talk about anti-India event at JNU and demonization of Hind Goddess Durga by Communists. She said the issue is related to Home Ministry and HRD Ministry and both have put their side in parliament.
Uma asked local reporters to contact Vadodara based Navalvala for future queries on progress of Ganga rejuvenation project.
She said the first phase of Ganga rejuvenation project will kick off in October, after long period of planning.
