Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel will dedicate Rs 5 crore revamped Matariya lake in Bharuch.
The lake was once in very bad shape. People living in surrounding area were using this lake to dump gutter water.
Then Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi conceived a filtration plant and beautification project and performed ground breaking for revamping the lake.
The project has completed and thanks to its implementation, the areas of Bharuch like Station tanki, Soneri mahel tanki and Shaktinath get drinking water. With beautification in lake front area, the place has now emerged as one of favorite local destinations for hang out.
In the second phase, Matariya talav will be utilized as reserve view. Lining works will be done in its periphery. The task has been proposed under Amrut scheme of central government.
