BJP assigns zones to four Gujarat co-incharge; Jaitley, Sitaraman to be in the State on Sept. 3

Ahmedabad: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) has today assigned the area wise responsibilities to its election joint incharges.

Party leader Narendra Tomar has been assigned the responsibility of Central Gujarat for assembly polls incluidng Ahmedabad city, district and Vadodara.

PP Chaudhary has been assigned North Gujarat region with his base in Mehsana while Dr. Jitendra Singh has been given the charge of South Gujarat region for Gujarat polls with Surat as his base.

Nirmala Sitharaman has been given charge of Saurashtra zone. Her base will be Rajkot.

Opposition Congress party has appointed region wise incharges for last more than couple of months. Most of those are Rahul Gandhi confidant.

BJP recently appointed Arun Jaitley as incharge of Gujarat assembly polls while four other leaders mentioned above were declared co-incharges.

In another development, the BJP will hold press conference in presence of State part incharge Bhupendra Yadav. A meeting of tribal leaders is also going to be held on the same day.

Arun Jaitley and Nirmala Sitharaman are going to visit Gujarat on 3rd September and hold meeting at State BJP headquarters Kamalam in Gandhinagar. Sitaraman and State party incharge Bhupendra Yadav will take part in day-long workshop for media and oratory at Kamalam on this day. Jaitley will hold meetings with Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and various election departments formed by the party.

These details were shared by State party president Jitubhai Vaghani at a press conference in Crown Plaza hotel on SG highway today evening after he arrived from Delhi where a meeting was held at party chief Amit Shah’s residence over Gujarat election preparedness and strategy.

Gujarat assembly general elections is likely to be declared in the second week of the month of October. Polling is likely to take place in the month of December.
