Congress announces Screening Committee for Gujarat Assembly elections 2017

New Delhi: The Indian National Congress president Sonia Gandhi has constituted the following Screening Committee for upcoming Gujarat Assembly election, that are likely to be held in the month of December.
Balasaheb Thorat, MLA and Ex – Minister from Maharashtra will be the Chairman of this committee which plays important role in selection of candidates and ticket distribution.
Ajay Lallu, MLA and Congress Legislative Party leader in Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Girish Chodankar, Secretary, All India Congress Committee and Ms Meenakshi Natarajan, former member of parliament will be the members of this committee.
This announcement was made by General Secretary of party Shri Janadran Dwivedi here.
Announcement of dates of Gujarat elections is likely to take place in the second week of October.
