BJP panel wins Mansa Nagrik Bank election ending 25-year control of Congress

Mansa: A BJP linked panel has for the first time won the election of Mansa Nagrik Bank.
Among two panels contesting against each other, one panel was backed by Congress while the other ‘Parivartan’ panel was backed by BJP. While BJP linked panel could elect 9 members, the Congress linked ‘Cow’ panel could elect its 4 members.
Congress backed panel was in power in the bank for last two and half decades. BJP could snatch the body from Congress possibly due to induction of former Congress MLA Amit Chaudhary to party. Chaudhary and Mansa BJP president Yogesh Patel successfully managed the election, result of which has been in BJP’s favor.
