ACB in Gujarat nabs sale tax officer and in-charge of GST mobile squad of Amirgadh check-post taking bribe

Palanpur: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat Police today nabbed red-handed a sales tax officer, who was also in-charge of the GST mobile squad at Amirgadh check-post in Banaskantha district in North Gujarat close to Rajasthan border, taking bribe from a vehicle owner.
Assistant Director of the ACB D P Chudasama said that K N Ranoliya, sales tax officer class-2 had sought a bribe of Rs 5000/- from a vehicle owner for allowing his tiles laden truck to pass the check post without any checking.
On his complaint a team of the ACB today laid a trap and nabbed Ranoliya red handed from a hotel situated on the road connecting Palanpur and Abu Road.
