NGT asks Dahej based chemical company to deposit Rs. 25 crore for June 3 blast incident

Dahej: National Green Tribunal has directed chemical company Yashashvi Rasayan Pvt Ltd to deposit Rs. 25 crore for June 3 incident of blast at company’s Dahej plant in which 10 persons were dead and over 75 were injured.
The fire had spread rapidly and also caused damage to the second plant in the factory. The mishap left ten workers dead (6 on the spot & 4 at the time of hospital treatment) and injured 78. Out of 78, 34 have been discharged, 44 are stable.
An explosion with fire erupted in the factory of agrochemical manufacturer Yashashvi Rasayan on Wednesday afternoon due to a sudden rise in pressure in the solvent tank in the storage tank farm area.
