Submit covid data or clinic will be forced to shut: Surat district collector to private doctors
January 11, 2022
Surat: Surat district collector Aayush Oak stated that the clinics that don’t submit daily data of Covid pandemic in OPDs will be closed.
The administration seeks daily covid data from private hospitals of the Surat city and district along with all the doctors practicing allopathy, homeopathy, Ayurveda and naturopathy. The figures of the patients of flu, common cold and cough coming to OPD are sought by administration on a day to day basis. The notices are issued to the hospitals and doctors who delay in submitting the figures of OPD.
The collector has also ordered that the schools should ensure that at least 75 percent of students coming to school must be wearing masks. The cross verification is being conducted by performing RT PCR tests of those who test negative in rapid antigen tests in the city, the collector stated. He stated that a covid care center will be started within 4 days in Samras hostel with 250 beds capacity in the initial stage. A 100-bed hospital will also be started at Hazira ArcelorMittal company campus.
