Up to 1.5 inches rainfall in Ahmedabad on Monday morning; 2 gates of Vasna Barrage opened

Ahmedabad: After witnessing only a few minimal showers in the past few days, the city of Ahmedabad received up to 1.5 inches of rainfall on Monday morning, from 6 am to 10 am, with Jodhpur Zonal area in the southwest zone of the city recording the highest rainfall. Following Jodhpur Zonal, the Bodakdev area received up to 1.1 inches of rain.
According to the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), no underpasses were closed, and two gates of the Vasna barrage on the Sabarmati River have been opened.
According to data from the AMC, during the period from 6 am to 10 am, the northwest zone, covering areas such as Bodakdev, Science City, Gota, and Changodiya, received the highest rainfall today, followed by the southwest zone, which includes areas like Sarkhej, Jodhpur, Jodhpur Zonal, Bopal, and Maktampura.
