City of Bridges, Surat to get another flyover worth Rs. 60 crore
December 17, 2024
Surat: The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has planned to construct a flyover bridge worth ₹60.68 crore at Maharana Pratap Junction on the Puna Patiya-Godadara route to address growing traffic congestion. The project, initiated in response to local demands, aims to ease movement on the main road connecting Kangaroo Circle in Puna Patiya to Godadara.
Known as the “City of Bridges,” Surat has so far constructed 127 bridges across creeks, the Tapi River, and key roads. Considering the persistent traffic congestion on the main road connecting Puna Patiya to the Godadara area, this flyover near Maharana Pratap Junction is now in the planning stages. DeshGujarat
