MoS Sanghvi uses technology for resolving public grievances; gets over 2,500 mails in a year
May 05, 2025
Surat: With the aim of ensuring that common citizens and elected representatives do not have to travel to Gandhinagar to resolve their issues, Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghvi, has adopted a unique approach of resolving matters through digital means. In one year, the Minister has received a total of 2,533 questions and representations via e-mail from the public, with a large number of them being satisfactorily resolved in a very short time, an official statement said.
Minister Harsh Sanghvi personally listens to each applicant, MLA, MP, and office bearer directly at his office. However, special emphasis has also been placed on the prompt resolution of complaints and representations received via e-mail, ensuring that no citizen or public representative has to visit the Gandhinagar office for issues related to the Home, Transport, and Sports Departments and can get their problems resolved through e-mail, stated an official release.
The citizens of the state are sending their questions and representations related to the Home, Transport, and Sports Departments to the email ID min-home@gujarat.gov.in. Appropriate actions are taken from the Minister’s office based on these emails.
It is noteworthy that Sanghvi himself reviews the emails received every day and immediately sends instructions to the higher officials of the concerned department. Additionally, a review meeting is held during the first week of each month to assess the resolution and progress of the issues raised.
This initiative has strengthened e-governance and is contributing to a simpler, faster administration that prioritizes the needs of the common citizens. DeshGujarat
