Three school plots in Ahmedabad set for auction at half market value
August 20, 2025
Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is preparing to auction three plots reserved for schools for the first time in nearly ten years. A proposal to sell plots in Nikol, Hanspura, and Thaltej will be presented at Thursday’s standing committee meeting.
The AMC has set a base price of Rs 144.44 crore, but as these are reserved school plots, they will be auctioned at 50% of their market value, bringing the effective auction price to Rs 72.22 crore. Officials said that over 100 plots earmarked for schools or school-and-playground use under various town planning (TP) schemes, and those that have received inquiries from educational institutions, will be auctioned first.
The last time the AMC auctioned such plots was in 2015. Since then, only a few have been allocated at market rates, including one in Gota in 2020 and another in Nikol. DeshGujarat
