ACB Gujarat nabs AMC Assistant Estate Officer in disproportionate assets case

Ahmedabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has booked an Assistant Estate Officer of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in a disproportionate assets case, the law enforcement agency announced today.
According to the official statement, the ACB received a complaint against Ketankumar Jaswantlal Rami, Assistant Estate Officer/TDO, Class-2 officer posted at the East Zone office of AMC, regarding disproportionate property acquisition. Following a preliminary review, the Bureau ordered a detailed investigation.
The investigation, covering the period from April 1, 2012, to March 31, 2019, revealed that Ketankumar Rami allegedly used illegal methods during his government duties and accumulated ₹67,13,156—approximately 30.45% more than his legitimate income—both in his name and in the names of his dependent family members.
Subsequently, a formal case was registered today with Ahmedabad City ACB Police against Rami for disproportionate assets. Ketankumar Jaswantlal Rami has been detained under the relevant legal provisions, and further investigation is ongoing. DeshGujarat
