Ahmedabad: A 6-storey illegal building was demolished today by the team of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC). Around 80 percent of this 5,932 sqft construction has been demolished already. The accused as per the First Information Report (FIR) filed at Gaekwad Police station in this case are Taufik Kadri and Abdul Memon.

According to a complaint filed by AMC, notices were served over this illegal construction as per GPMC act in 2024 itself. Later this building was also sealed by AMC. However its construction resumed, following which AMC filed complaint under BNS 223.

According to police, the cheap quality building was under construction without permissions from AMC and Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and the project was therefore in violation of several rules.The construction began in 2023 and 6 floors were constructed.  DeshGujarat
