Multiple IndiGo flights delayed, cancelled from Ahmedabad airport amid nationwide disruptions

Ahmedabad: Passengers travelling from and to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport faced significant inconvenience on Wednesday as several IndiGo flights were cancelled or delayed amid nationwide operational disruptions affecting the airline.

According to airport data, three IndiGo arrivals and three departures were cancelled, while ten other flights experienced delays ranging from over an hour to several hours.

The flights that have been cancelled are to and from Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad. The flights that have been delayed also operate between Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Varanasi and Chandigarh.

The disruptions in Ahmedabad come as part of a wider operational breakdown for IndiGo across major airports, including Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. The airline has been facing intense public criticism after massive delays—some stretching beyond five to twelve hours—left thousands stranded.

Social media was flooded with complaints, with passengers calling the situation “absolute chaos” and alleging a lack of communication from airline staff. Videos from Hyderabad airport also showed heated arguments between passengers and IndiGo personnel after prolonged delays.
