Ahmedabad: The Standing Committee of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Thursday approved two significant development projects in the Chandkheda Ward, West Zone, aimed at improving local infrastructure and community well-being.
1. Senior Citizen Park at T.P. 69, Sneh Plaza Road
The committee approved the construction of a Senior Citizen Park on a plot measuring 628 sq. m., at an estimated cost of ₹49.55 lakh. The project has been awarded to Purvi Corporation at a tendered amount of ₹36.19 lakh and is expected to be completed within six months under the guidance of architect consultant Rupesh Modi.
The park will feature a gazebo, garden, toilets, and walkways, providing a dedicated space for senior citizens to relax, walk, and socialize. AMC officials highlighted that the park will enhance the well-being of local residents and create a safer, more enjoyable environment for the elderly.
2. Vegetable Market at T.P. 22, F.P. 282, Chandkheda
The committee also approved the construction of a vegetable market on a plot of 1,806 sq. m., with an estimated cost of ₹3.87 crore. The project has been awarded to Aline Projects Pvt.
