Surat Man Alleges ₹3 Lakh Paid for AAP Ticket, No Refund or Ticket Given

Surat: Navnit Chandubhai Navadiya, whose wife had sought a party ticket from Ward No. 1 for civic election, has alleged that a Delhi-based party leader took money on the promise of a ticket, but neither the ticket was given nor the money returned. He claimed ₹7 lakh fund contribution to AAP was discussed for ticket, of which ₹3 lakh was paid to Om Prakash, the party’s Delhi prabhari. Navadiya further alleged that funds were collected from others as well in exchange for tickets. He said he has video footage and call recordings as evidence, and added that despite earlier assurances of a refund, the money was not returned, allegedly because it had been passed on to the party organisation. After prolonged efforts, he approached the Police Commissioner yesterday. Navadiya is the nephew of former AAP Surat chief Mahendra Navadiya. DeshGujarat
