When Gujarat’s opposition leader Shaktisinh Gohil entered the stage of Gujarat government organized district level Gujarat’s golden jubilee celebration public function in Sihor yesterday, crowd was jubilant witnessing rare moments of Gujarat politics when state level Congress leader was on Narendra Modi’s stage sitting along with him.
An MLA from Bhavnagar constituency, Shaktisinh Gohil is leader of opposition in Gujarat assembly. He is ranked as a cabinet minister according to government protocol. According to Congress protocol he is one of the top two leaders in Gujarat. He uses laptop, can speak gentle English, surfs internet, goes to watch latest movies in theaters wearing t-shirt and jeans. He is considered as quite a much different politician in Congress and in Gujarat.
According to protocol his name and his speech schedule was mentioned by district administration in invitation card of the function. But most of the people believed that as per the tradition that is going on for last several years, Congress would boycott this function too organized by state government.
However amidst great surprise when Shaktisinh Gohil was seen entering the stage, there was a cheer on the faces of almost all the people present there.
Shaktisinh in his speech said that this function was organized on the issue of Gujarat’s golden jubilee celebration and for Gujarat’s self respect and development, they from Congress party were always ready to extend support to the ruling party.
Gohil in his speech passed a taunting message to Modi and said “Gujarat has always been an enterprising state with continuous pursuit, spirit and saga of development. Only one person(Narendra Modi) should not always be credited for the development that Gujarat has achieved. Rulers do change time to time and under different rulers, speed of development may fluctuate too but finally people of Gujarat should be credited for state’s successes.”
Continuing his taunting words by giving the example of earlier Bhavnagar state Diwan, Shaktisinh Gohil said “In former Bhavnagar state, Gaga Oza(Gaurishanka Udayshankar Oza) was so dynamic, popular and successful administrator, that people used to call the state of Bhavnagar as ‘Gaga Oza’s Bhavnagar’. When such talks were noticed by Gaga Oza himself, he shuffled the words and corrected as ‘Bhavnagar’s Gaga Oza’. He insisted that he was because of people of Bhavnagar and Bhavnagar was not because of him.”
Shaktisinh’s presence on the stage of Gujarat government function was significant because some Congress leaders have publicly criticized Modi’s Gujarat golden jubilee functions declaring them as wastage of time, money and district administration. Some Congress leaders had also said in their statements earlier that Modi was organizing and attending such functions to make a ground for next parliament elections.
However common man present in Sihor function believed that Shaktisinh’s presence in state government’s function was wise step and it would generate goodwill for Shaktisinh in particular and Congress in general.

The joy that is arisen between them indicates that Gujarat will smile like BJP MP Rajendrasinh Rana is smiling at a function in Sihor.

good step,healthy atmosphere.only i,did not like taunting.modi never said that only he deserves credit.
he always mentione d 5.5 karores of gujarati people.even onle in 22 days gujarat police did tremondous
job in catching those bastards,modi gave mr.pandy to have the press conference.
if for some thing bad happens we blame modi only ,than why not credit for good.
mr.gohil should give that oza’s example to his congressi.on kamraj yojna mr.nehru drove out all
those nice,clever,bright,leaders to secure his p.m.ship.indira is india was slogan of congressi.1971 war
was won by her great leadership,so,all the credit went to her eventhough evry one was responcible.
i,think congress setup the worst senerio in indian politics.
even today why that much important they give to madam?rahul,priyanka?i,think congressi have surroundered
them selves to one perticular fmily.
people like mr.gohil are very few in congress.i,respect him.he is a good,knowledgeable mla .

i was reading this artical & some thoughts were going through my mind & at last i read Mr. pavan nanavati’s response which is to the point & very well described.
His criticism of modi sir is just an empty rhetoric because if what he said is that what he believes then how come he is still in congress? The political party that he represents in assemby always credits one person or one family for every thing good that happened in india after independence. They dont stop here only, they blame others for everything bad that happened in india after independence.
I know his politics for long time since he was elected first time as an MLA. always he seemed right person in a wrong party. now after reading this looks like he has mastered the art of being a congressi. He is a right person in a right party.
If you were called in a party & your stomach is not habitual to eat outside food. please dont eat at a party (even if its free) otherwise you will make your pant dirty before you reach home.
I was missing Arjun modhwadiya for long time ( i know he is in rajasthan now). no problem we have got another character

I am completely agree with Pavan Nanavati and Ashwin Patel.
Shaktisinh should know that to give credit of 1971 Bangladesh war victory to Indira Gandhi, Congress always kept distance from Field Marshal Sam Maneckshaw who was actually an architect of 1971 victory.
When recently Sam Maneksha passed away, Indian flag was not flown at half-mast. Even 3rd category political leader when dies flag is flown at half-mast otherwise.
India’s defence minister, prime minister no one went to Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw’s funeral.
They the Congress people at center are not even ready to promise Bharatratna to this deserving man.
Shame on Congress. Shaktisinh should know this.
And This man Shaktisinh is not clean. He was with BJP’s suspended MP Somabhai Patel in Delhi when buying and selling of MPs was going on in Delhi at the time of recent trust of vote. And we know how and what deals were made to MPs by Congress. This Shaktisinh was also in Delhi to deal with such things in relation to Gujarat MPs.
When he says something about Modi by giving examples of Gaga Ozaji it seems like ‘Hajar chuhe maarke billi haj pe jaane ki baat kar rahi hai.’

Why did he go there? Did he just read his name on invitation letter? had he bothered to read agenda of the gathering? This gathering’s agenda it self points out that Modi sir does not believe that he can by himself achieve the goals that he believes our gujarat should achieve by 2010.

i only love modiji ,rupala,mathur and modiji’s follower. i hate delhi media and there gov. policy.they can’t see future scinerio. this cong. party only interested in wining election. i still remember those days when modiji only politician who speak against terror. i love him & don’t care about he was rss worker.each day he only think about gujarat that is especial.
i love the idea about (modiji) federal str. of goverance like here in u.s.a. only problem is in india that there is to much secular and democracy.this man only take responsibility of his action.because of this cong. mentality even we won war and reach to karachi, we never conquered that. we gave them back land . we lost our 18,000 soilders and destroy there family.
still today cong. party in delhi behave like girl and play with indian people. there are the same black-mailer as most of muslim community.
none of leader in india as knowledge of politics and religious as modiji has.
he is with younger generation hero who he can teach us and nature us and india.
he also can destory this silly caste system.

I often read that Modi haters credit Gujarat’s growth to the entrepreuner nature of Gujaratis and don’t give any credit to the growth initiatives taken by Modi. Anyone who has some knowledge of finance and economics would understand that state policies play an important role in growth and development. Entrepreneur nature is of no help if you don’t have fuel to run your factories and no roads for transportation.
Fortunately Modi is aware that success doesn’t just come with entrepeneur nature but needs strong support through infrastructure development and growth oriented economic policies.
Unfortunately the liars and ignorants don’t acknowledge the phenomenal growth initiatives taken by Modi.

Hello, This is very good that both leading party’s main leaders meet and express their views and opinions. This is true politics. Politics should be for the prevail love and harmony, not shake of increase hate. Right , if we tallk personally on Shaktisinh Gohil, Right , ‘Right person is in Wrong party’ because BJP will be suitable more to him.
Any way this is good for the Gujarat that both parties worried about Gujarat development and we also hope that they will fight against terrorism jointly by paasing the bill of GUJCOK
