15 ft high Kirti Mandir’s sand-sculpture created in Porbandar

Orissa’s famous sand-sculptor artist Manmohan Mahapatra has created a 15 ft high sand-sculpture of Kirti Mandir, the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi at Porbandar’s sea beach.
Total 175 sand sculpture artists, most of them amateurs trained by Mahapatra this month have taken part in sand-sculpture making competition on Porbandar beach. The artists made sculptures during 12 noon to 6 pm today. The sculptures will be opened for public by BJP’s national President Shri Nitin Gadkari in presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary.
