Rahul Gandhi introduces this Gujarati as OBC mascot in UP rally

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi yesterday introduced Gujarat’s Satyanarayan Gangaram Pitroda (Sam Pitroda) as a poster boy of the OBCs at a rally of the most backward castes(MBCs) in Uttar Pradesh. This was Rahul’s last rally in his five-day tour in this state.
Rahul said the cellphones in their hands were powered by a policy promoted by Rajiv Gandhi , but authored by a man (Satyanarayan Gangaram Pitroda), who is a “vishwakarma” by caste.
“Barahi (carpenter)…. You can change the world but have been ignored and so you are backward,” Rahul said.
Shri Sam Pitroda is from Surendranagr district of Gujarat. Settled in the US, Shri Pitroda is presently in India. He lives in a bungalow of another Gujarati, central railway minister Shri Dinesh Trivedi who is MP from a constituency in Bengal. Pitroda works as head of an expert committee on ICT in Railways these days and very busy with his this crucial job.
