Slab under her foot collapsed, Jamnagar MP falls into drain, injured, taken to Mumbai

Jamnagar Lok Sabha MP Poonamben Madam today felled in 8-10 ft deep drain channel in Jalaramnagar area of city. She has suffered head injury and shifted to local hospital along with 3 others who were also injured in same incident.
Jamnagar Municipal Corporation has today conducted demolition drive in Jalaramnagar area where 237 units were to be demolished. Following protest by locals, BJP MP Poonamben Madam reached the spot. While she was speaking to officials outside one of the housing units in presence of locals and media persons, a slab under her foot that was covering the underground sewage canal collapsed. Madam felled down with few other persons in canal. The fire brigade staff present there along with the commoners rescued her and others quickly.
Madam was seen bleeding on head. She was conscious and taken to hospital along with others who were injured.
Poonamben had come to the demolition site to request the officials to give some time to locals so that they can vacate the place and make alternate arrangement.
Updates: Poonamben underwent stitches on head following injury. Her ct scan report is normal. She has also some injury in leg. She may witness brief hospitalization.
Updates: Poonamben has been shifted to Mumbai in air ambulance for further treatment. She is accompanied by Dhanraj Parimal Nathwani.
