So where did Congress win even amid solid Modi wave? Here’s a list

While BJP won 163 Taluka Panchayats, the Congress party has been victorious in 37 Taluka Panchayats of Gujarat and Jantadal(U) won 2 Taluka Panchayats(Valiya and Jhagadia) even amid Modi’s bulldozer and BJP’s clean sweep. Give below is a list of Taluka Panchayts where people still vote Congress(should one make a museum of these talukas that still vote Congress?)

Barvala, Petlad, Borsad, Sanand, Kheda, Mahudha, Balashinor, Kadi, Santalpur, Prantij, Vadali, Garbada, Dahod, Bharuch, Mandvi(south Gujarat), Dharampur, Songadh, Vyara, Babara, Liliya, Khambha, Umrala, Ghogha, Jam khambhalia, Maliya hatina, Sutrapada, Talala, Mundra, Gandhidham, Lakhpat, Jasdan, Upleta, Wankaner, Jam Kandorana and Sayla,

In Vadiya Kunkvav and Jafrabad, both Congress and BJP won same number of seats. Wherever the independent winner will go, that party will rule the Taluka body.

Now lets come to Municipality elections. There are four Municipalities where Congress got more seats compare to BJP. They are: Bagasara, Dahegam, Veraval-Patan and Keshod. There are two Municipality where Congress and BJP won same number of seats. They are:Borsad and Porbandar Nagarpalika.

And there are two districts where Congress secured more seats compare to BJP. The districts are:Gandhinagar and Tapi.
