Sparkle 2011 to be inaugurated by Modi today in Surat

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate an important pre-Vibrant Gujarat summit event Sparkle 2011 in Surat city today. The grand event has been organized at Surat’s Sarsana based International Exhibition and Convention centre.

The Chief Minister will open Sparkle 2011 at 11.00 am today after which the exhibition will remain open between 6th to 9th of January between 11.00 am and 8.00 pm.

According to Dr. Ajoya Bhattacharya this exhibition will boost the upcoming project of Jewelry park in the city. While best of the best pieces of art are going to be exhibited in Artisan village, a tourism dome will house 40 stalls promoting state’s tourism. There’s also a food court that houses 40 stalls of Surti food. Sparkle 2011’s attractive entry gate is decorated with replica of Surat Municipal Corporation’s Mugalsari headquarter.

According to Pravin Nanavati, Convener of Sparkle 2011, the convention centre will be witnessing various lectures and discussions between 11.00 am and 4.30 pm. This includes a lecture on Ornamentation as part of life, Infrastructure as catalyst for growth, Change management, Entrepreneurship in business, Premium through design and Best HR practice for sustained growth. Moreover a fashion show also has been organized in the event.

According to Chamber’s Vice President Rohit Maheta, a new bar-coded security system has been erected at the entrance of the exhibition. Even the luggage will be scanned at the entry point. Therefore it is advisable not to bring luggage here. Those wanting to attend B to B and B to C sessions will need passport size photo identity card.
