Ahmedabad, 14 September, 2011

The second edition of Pharmac India 2011, the international exhibition of India’s pharmaceutical and healthcare industry which was scheduled to start at Gujarat University Exhibition Hall in Ahmedabad from 17 September is now shifted to Gandhinagar’s Mahatma Mandir.

The event has to be shifted to Mahatma Mandir because Chief Minister Narendra Modi has chosen Gujarat University Exhibition hall as venue of his three-day Sadbhavna mission fast.

Gujarat University Exhibition hall is Ahmedabad’s largest indoor pillerless AC complex with daily rental of Rs. 5 lakh.

In view of Gujarat Chief Minister’s decision to sit on three-day fast in Gujarat University Exhibition hall, the organizer Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association – Gujarat State Board (IDMA – GSB) in association with Orbitz Exhibitors Pvt. Ltd have been agreed to shift their location.

The three-day fair will bring pharmaceutical manufacturers, pharmaceutical packaging material and machinery makers, active pharma ingredients (APIs- bulk drugs), bio-pharmaceutical companies and largest suppliers & distributors of pharmaceutical products under one roof in order to facilitate exchange of ideas for better growth of the industry.
