BJP says Narendra Modi is not footpathiya neta, Congress agrees

Ahmedabad, 16 September, 2011

It seems Gujarat BJP leaders have started becoming more liberal in using harsh words while reacting to Gujarat Congress’s allegations these days. First it was Jaynarayan Vyas who in a TV debate told Gujarat Congress President Shri Arjun Modhwadia that later had lost mental balance. And now there’s another Gujarat BJP leader and party’s spokesperson Vijaybhai Rupani who today termed Congress leaders as footpathiyas(those on footpaths).

On Friday morning when a TV channel asked Vijaybhai Rupani about Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s alleged ‘Five-star’ fast compare to simple arrangements of fast of Congress leaders on Gandhi Ashram’s footpath, Shri Rupani, a Rajya Sabha member of BJP said, “Narendrabhai is not footpathiya neta. He has garima. He is rajpurush. I don’t want to react to allegations of footpathiyas.”

When DeshGujarat posted this dialogue on Twitter, Gujarat Congress President Shri Arjunbhai Modhwadia tweeted and replied like this: “Very true, Narendra Modi is not leader connected to footpath, he is always five star leader at cost of public exchequer.”

Modhwadia seemed happy that none other but BJP leader Vijaybhai Rupani backed what Congress continues to say that Modi is not connected with common person on street(footpath).

Another development

Slain BJP leader Haren Pandya’s wife today circulated SMS that she will go to garland Haren Pandya’s statue at Naherunagar circle on Saturday morning and then will go to meet Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi at Sadbhavna fast venue to remind him that he has not shown Sadbhavna yet to late Haren’s family.
