Shri Ambani said, “If an arid land in Jamnagar can be converted into efining capital of the world, then Gujarat can also become Asia’s automotive hub.”

“Modi has made India proud by putting the state on global map and every citizen of the state is motivated,” he further said.

“Globally, we need 17 billion tones of oil equivalent by 2030. And to fulfil this demand India and China need to increase energy production by six times by 2030. In the next 20 years, energy consumption will be much higher,” Shri Ambani said and added that PDPU students need to undertake a lot of research. “We need to research on solar and bio-fuels. Energy is future of the world and to win the world, we need to do research on energy and PDPU should play a leading role.”

Ambani called for framing new strategic policy for the energy sector which has assumed a significant role in the new world order for clean, convenient and competitive energy security and efficiency. There is a need for research to develop new technology with the application of all resources.

Mr. Ambani had a word of praise for Mr. Narendra Modi who as the Chief Minister of Gujarat earned name for India, having established Gujarat model of development for all. He said India has the capacity to make impossible things possible. He said that both Reliance Refinery and Gujarat’s revolution in water management once appeared to be impossible task.

With rapid changes in the university education system particularly in engineering, he expressed happiness that PDPU has in a short period earned a name for itself, due to the collective contribution of all. He called for canalizing the youth water in building a new India.
