It seems, November 2011 will be a busy month for Gujarat BJP.
The month begins with ‘sneh sammelans’ scheduled between 1-10 November at district, taluka and municipality levels. According to party sources, this will be a micro mobilization exercise involving local party workers. Each district level get-together will be attended by in-charge minister of that district and also the ministers who belong to that district. MPs and MLAs will also attend district level get-together events.
From 3 November, Chief Minister Narendra Modi will kick off Garib Kalyan Melas. Though officially the party has nothing to do with this, and it is the state administration that is going to employ all its strength to see the success of each mela, local units of party will be extra active in surrounding duties. Garib Kalyan Mela is a fortnight affair ending on November 21. There are as many as 27 melas just on November 3 alone. There will be total 225 Garib Kalyan Melas.
Moreover on 6 and 7 November, LK Advani’s Jan chetana rath yatra will be in Gujarat with several public meetings, and other local-level on-route welcoming programmes scheduled.
And ofcourse district level Sadbhavana fasts will pop-up here and there in between as per allotment of dates by Modi.
The party and the state administration will have some relief only during 4-5 days tour of Narendra Modi to China during the month of November.
