-Kutch’s Mandvi Panjrapol has received over Rs five lakh donation for its efforts of sustain cattle against water scarcity in district.
-Surat Police Commissioner has issued a notification banning presence of touts in government and civic office premises.
-Lok Rakshak Samiti of Amreli has announced one day strike against shortage of water on Saturday, 30th of March. Amreli is represented by Congress MLA in assembly. A rally of women is also planned at 4.00 pm on same day.
-The 2nd National Photo Awards- 2011-12 were conferred today by the Speaker, Lok Sabha, Ms. Meira Kumar to eminent photojournalists at a function held in Vigyan Bhavan. The Life-Time Achievement Awards was given to eminent photographer Shri Pranlal Patel. Shri Pranlal Patel, 104 years of age is from Amdavad.
