Ahmedabad
If all works planned see matching implementation, the city of Ahmedabad will get another good hall in west.
Gujarat University has 800-seater Senate hall in its main building. The hall will be renovated at a cost of Rs 2 crore by University. The seating capacity after renovation will be 750, but seats will be with push back facility. The hall will be sound proof and with central air conditioned system.
The senate hall, though located in decent area, has few takers due to its poor condition. If repaired and refurnished properly with good sound system, it can emerge an ideal location for holding commercial shows, and University can earn from it.
