Deputy Collector killed with family members in accident near Bhavnagar

A Deputy Collector rank official and three of his family members including wife, son and daughter died a tragic death in a road mishap near Bhavnagar today, SP Deepankar Trivedi said.

Pradip Singh Jadeja (45), a deputy collector rank official associated with the Ahmedabad Metro rail project, was coming from Ahmedabad to participate in a marriage ceremony at his maternal aunt’s (Mausi) place here.

He was driving his car in which his wife Rajeshwariben (40), daughter Rishipiba (17) and son Harshraj (14) were also traveling. It collided head on with a private passenger bus (Bhavnagar based Rajdhani travels) near Nirma Patia of Vedavadar police post on Ahmedabad-Bhavnagar highway .

While the deputy collector died on the spot his wife, son and daughter were declared brought dead by the doctors in a hospital here, the SP said.

Mr. Jadeja lived in Memnagar area of Ahmedabad city with his family.

Mr. Trivedi said that there were only four people in the car.
