A laborer lady becomes municipality chief in Gujarat

After winning 39 of 44 seats in Porbandar municipality, BJP has selected Bhartiben Modi as new president of municipality. Modi from Kharva community is first time Councillor. Her husband Shantibhai Modi is active BJP worker. While Shantibhai works as fishing net repairer, Bhartiben who is elected from ward number 10 by margin of 4259 votes is illiterate and works as labourer in catering firm. She cooks meal, wash utensils and also make Papad in the course of her job.
