Amreli
Ever since the Patidar agitation kicked off, Amreli has become virtually a ‘no-go’ area for Gujarat BJP. No major government or party function has been organized in this district which has major presence of Patidar community voters. It has been learnt that after a long gap, State Chief Minister Anandiben Patel is going to attend a function in Amreli district on Monday, April 18, of course amid tight security arrangements.
Chief Minister Anandiben Patel is likely to visit Shiv Katha event at Garni village of Babra taluka which is being held on occasion of Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav. The Chief Minister is likely to arrive at 11.00 am on April 18.

To ensure smooth visit without any untoward incident, Chief Minister’s landing via air route has been arranged right next to the event venue.
Only those invited and having invitation card will be able to attend the event in addition to those identified by police. District Collector has visited the venue thrice.
Special arrangement has been made for traffic management on Babra-Garni route. Superintendent of Police, 4 DySPs and other cops will manage the security of the Chief Minister.
